Q. What is a fish finder / transducer?

A. By the use of sound waves that are shot into the water by a sensor (transducer).

    Fish, depth, and under water terrain can be detected by the fisherman

     on top of the water. Great electronic tool that basically gives fishing

    a new meaning, and saves your prop from tree stumps and out of the mud.

Q. How is a transducer attached on your boat?

A. There are several ways. The difference is the way they are attached to the boat.

    Transom mount transducers are bolted onto the outside of the transom, below

    the bottom line of the boat. Ideal for small boats with outboard motors, or

    any trailer boat. Thru-Hull transducers are bolted through the hull of the boat

    forward of the prop. Ideal for larger boats especially with in-board motors.

    IN Hull transducers are glued inside the bottom of the boat where it actually

    shoots sound waves through the hull into the water. Ideal for solid fiberglass

    hulls.  * All fishfinders come with complete direction manuals with each order.

Q. What parts come with a fishfinder?

A. The standard fishfinder comes with a control head, transducer, and sometimes with

    a speedometer and temp gauge. All products in this store give full description of

    parts that are included for that fishfinder model.

Q. Can I install a fish finder myself?

A. With basic hand tool skills. Read the installation manual, and install while

    boat is out of water. If  unsure and you can not understand installation

    concept, refer to a qualified person.
